Okay housing people… Patch 12.1.5 is shaping up to be an absolute MONSTER for Housing. Midnight Patch 12.1.5 Releases on October 13th

There are already 250+ new furnishing items showing up across the PTR, and the more people dig into it, the bigger this update seems to get.

This isn’t just a new vendor with a few bits either.

We’re talking decor coming from:

Warlords of Draenor • Legion • Battle for Azeroth • Shadowlands • Dragonflight • Midnight • Professions • Achievements • Brewfest • Hallow’s End

Basically Blizzard has looked at years of old currencies, forgotten reputations and abandoned zones and gone:

“You know what? Go back there. There’s furniture now.”

⚠️ IMPORTANT PTR DISCLAIMER

Everything in this post is based on current Public Test Realm findings.

PTR content is still in development, so prices, vendors, currencies, requirements, item sources and even the items themselves may change before Patch 12.1.5 goes live.

Nothing here should be treated as final just yet.

WARLORDS OF DRAENOR

Garrison Resources are back!

And honestly… some of these trees are gorgeous. A few of them are apparently huge at 100% scale, so these should give us some proper statement pieces for outdoor plots.

🔵 Alliance - Shadowmoon Valley

Botanist Taania - Elodor, Shadowmoon Valley 58.05, 26.63

These could currently only be purchased on an Alliance character during PTR testing.

200g + 200 Garrison Resources

400g + 400 Garrison Resources

Honestly, the willows alone are enough to make me go back to Draenor.

🔴 Horde - Nagrand

Botanist Gril’ka — Wor’var, Nagrand 82.10, 44.77

These could currently only be purchased on a Horde character.

200g + 200 Garrison Resources

400g + 400 Garrison Resources

So yes… Garrison Resources are relevant again. 😂

LEGION - ARGUS & LIGHTFORGED DECOR

Legion gets a really nice batch of Lightforged and Argus-themed pieces.

One warning though…

Some of this decor is apparently VERY noisy.

Several of the Argus pieces currently give off a loud humming sound.

Maybe don’t put twelve of them beside your peaceful little reading nook.

Vindicator Jaelanna - The Vindicaar 43.2, 74.2

Prices currently use Gold + Order Resources, with discounts at higher reputation levels.

Adjutant Vortus - The Vindicaar 32.2, 66.5

Some additional copies also have older quest or achievement requirements.

🖼️ And obviously…

Rasil Fireborne’s “Gnome Lisa” Painting Currently: 1000g + 500 Order Resources — 1 DPC

Yes - I need it.

BATTLE FOR AZEROTH

BFA gets one of the biggest batches, with loads of Drustvar vegetation, Vulpera furnishings, caravans, cushions, barricades and camp decor.

🔵 Alliance - Drustvar

Fenwir - Arom’s Stand 37.8, 48.9

These currently use War Resources.

Can we just talk about the Snowbound Highroad Pine?

I need approximately 47 of them. 😂

🔴 Horde - Vol’dun

Hoarder Jena - Vulpera Hideaway 56.7, 49.7

Jeni - Vulpera Hideaway 56.3, 50.5

The Vulpera pieces are going to be SO good for camp builds.

SHADOWLANDS - 80+ NEW DECOR PIECES

Shadowlands is one of the BIG winners in Patch 12.1.5. We’re looking at 80+ Covenant-themed furnishing items spread across Kyrian, Night Fae, Venthyr and Necrolord themes.

And yes… ANIMA IS RELEVANT AGAIN. (I am sorry.)

A lot of these pieces currently cost Reservoir Anima, with some also requiring Covenant alignment, older quests or achievements.

BASTION / KYRIAN

Adjutant Nikos - Hero’s Rest 52.2, 47.1

GLASS FLOOR.... That is all.

Ornate Kyrian Glass Platform

Curator Ilaros - Hero’s Rest 52.4, 47.1

ARDENWEALD / NIGHT FAE

These are currently sold by vendors including Aithlyn and Lunelle in the Heart of the Forest.

Additional copies of the Restored Night Fae Sigil currently require Awaken, Ardenweald.

REVENDRETH / VENTHYR

This is where I begin to question what some of you are planning to do with your pets and plushies. 😂

Mumples - near Halls of Atonement 73.1, 52.6

Mistress Mihaela - The Sinposium 61.3, 63.8

Xuì is 100% building a dungeon. 😂

Verayn - The Sinposium 61.9, 63.8

MALDRAXXUS & ORIBOS

There isn’t a huge amount for Maldraxxus yet. I said YET, Necrolord people. 😂

Nalcorn Talsen -Theater of Pain

Collector Xorik - Theater of Pain

🐟 Oribos gets a fish

Mysterious Imported Piranha — 300 Anima — 1 DPC

Apparently the fish actually swims around the bowl and jumps out.

Completely unnecessary. Therefore essential!

DRAGONFLIGHT & OTHER FINDS

A few other pieces are scattered around too.

The Obsidian Lava Pool is apparently heavily animated, bubbling away constantly and absolutely enormous. So obviously… I need one. 😂

MIDNIGHT / UNDERCOIN DECOR

There are also some Amani-themed pieces currently appearing from Midnight content.

BREWFEST DECOR

Holiday decor is finally becoming a proper thing and I LOVE this.

Current Brewfest pieces include:

Some of these are currently listed in the catalogs but aren’t available for testing on the PTR yet, so keep that disclaimer firmly in mind. Tavern builders are about to have a field day.

HALLOW’S END DECOR

Okay. This is where my housing budget disappears. A lot of these are listed in the Housing catalogs but are not currently available for testing yet.

Gold purchases currently listed

Tricky Treat purchases currently listed

There are also two profession-crafted holiday pieces:

And then there is… Scarecrow Pepe

Yes. Scarecrow Pepe is becoming Housing decor.

The current requirement is the achievement: A Frightening Friend And importantly, this appears to be retroactive, so if you’ve already completed it, you should be sorted.

If you haven’t, Pepe can be found in your Warlords of Draenor Garrison cemetery once your Town Hall is Level 3. Horde: 70, 89 Alliance: 40, 70

I cannot express how quickly Pepe is going into my house.

PROFESSION DECOR

This is another part of the update I REALLY like. Patch 12.1.5 is adding craftable furnishings across multiple old expansion professions, meaning old crafting skills and materials suddenly matter again.

⚗️ Alchemy

🛠️ Blacksmithing

🌟 Enchanting

⚙️ Engineering

📜 Inscription

💎 Jewelcrafting

🪡 Leatherworking

🧵 Tailoring

The fact that these use materials from their original expansions is something I really like too. Old crafting materials suddenly have a purpose again.

Another win for the bank hoarders like me.

WHAT SHOULD YOU START SAVING?

Based on what is currently appearing on the PTR, I’d think twice before getting rid of:

  • Garrison Resources

  • Order, Resources

  • War Resources

  • Reservoir Anima

  • Dragon Isles Supplies

  • Undercoin

  • Brewfest Prize Tokens

  • Tricky Treats

  • Old profession materials

Old achievements, quests and reputations are becoming relevant again too.

There is SO much in there. You have been warned.

VIDEO BREAKDOWN

There’s also a really useful video covering the new decor, currencies and reputations:

SOURCES & CREDIT

A huge amount of the detailed PTR vendor testing, prices, coordinates, requirements and acquisition information in this post has been gathered and shared by the brilliant WoWHousing community.

Please go and give them some love, because the amount of work going into testing and documenting all of this is ridiculous.

Special credit also goes to Lumy from MMO-Champion for compiling the Holiday decor findings:

HOUSING REALLY IS BECOMING THE REAL ENDGAME

This is exactly the sort of update I wanted Housing to get.

Not just: “Here’s another furniture vendor.”

But: “Remember that zone from eight years ago? Go back. Your sofa is there.” 😂

Old reputations matter.

Old achievements matter.

Old currencies matter.

Professions matter.

Holiday events matter.

And suddenly huge chunks of Warcraft content have a reason to be visited again.

For somebody who already loves collecting things, this is both fantastic news and an absolute disaster for my free time.

Mounts. Transmog. Housing.

I have accepted that I will never finish this game. And honestly? I’m completely fine with that.

What are you going back to farm first?
